ELLENSBURG, Wash. (May 18) – Four members of the Central Washington University track and field team are headed to Bradenton, Florida for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.
NATIONAL COMPETITORS
- Dani Eggleston, Erin Chinchar, Tayler Fettig, and Armando Tafoya will represent the Wildcats at the national championship.
- Eggleston and Chinchar are set to compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Eggleston qualified with a mark of 10:23.58, eighth in the nation.
- Chinchar qualified with a time of 10:38.10, 18th in the nation.
- Fettig will compete in the high jump. She qualified with a mark of 1.77 meters, second in the nation.
- Tafoya qualified for the hammer throw with a distance of 58.04 meters, 18th best in the country.

- Prelim events are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. EDT on Thursday, May 26.
- Women's 3,000-meter steeplechase prelim is scheduled to begin at 7:55 p.m. EDT.
- The men's hammer toss final is scheduled for Thursday at 12:30 p.m. EDT.
- Women's high jump finals are on Saturday, May 28, at 6:00 p.m. EDT.
The 2016 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship is hosted by the University of Tampa and IMG Academy.
