Batted .443 in 1969 and had a career average of .364. Set single-season and career marks for stolen bases with 29 and 50, respectively. Led CWU to a third place finish in 1968 NAIA College World Series. Honorable Mention NAIA All-American in 1968 and First Team All-American in 1969. Won two American League base stealing titles during 10-year major league career with Oakland A's, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants.
