Carolyn was an outside hitter for the CWU Volleyball Team from 1999-2002. During her career as a Wildcat, she garnered All-GNAC Second-Team selections in 2001 and 2002, GNAC All-Academic Team in 2001 and 2002, and PacWest All-Academic Selection in 2000, and was also named to the Wildcats 2000’s All-Decade Team.

Mires is currently the Central Washington Volleyball teams all-time leader in kills with 1,265, which ranks 17th in GNAC history. She also owns the GNAC record for kills in a three-set match with 21. Mires currently ranks second in all-time Wildcat history for total points with 1,472. She’s currently third in kills per set with 3.55, attack attempts with 3,388, points per set with 4.13, and service aces with 123. Carolyn also ranks 10th in Wildcat history in service aces per set with 0.35. Her 3.91 kills per set in the 2000 season at the time ranked second in program history, and currently ranks eighth. 

During the 2002 season she set the program record for kills in a single season with 395 kills, which currently ranks sixth all-time.
