For 27 years, he served the university with distinction as its faculty athletic representative. Also served as the Columbia Football Association treasurer for seven years, the NAIA District 1 treasurer for eight years and the District 1 eligibility chair for 17 years. Elected to NAIA Hall-of-Fame in 1992.
