Six-time NAIA national swimming champion. Won 200-yard butterfly in 1964-66, 400 individual medley in 1965 and 1966, and 1,650 freestyle in 1964. Coached 13 seasons at Kelso High School. Past President of Washington State Swimming Coaches Association.
