Two-time cross country All-American placing 20th in 1975 and 21st in 1976. Also won two District 1 and two Evergreen Conference individual titles. Placed fifth in the 5,000 meters in 1976 national track and field meet. At time of induction handmarks among best in school history in 1500 meters (3:51.2), 3000 (8:22.9), 5000 (14:22.6) and 10,000 (30:32.0). Qualified for U.S. Olympic Trials in marathon.
