All-conference quarterback in 1961, 1962 and 1963. All-conference safety in 1961 and 1963. Ranked among Top 10 career leaders at time of induction in passing (1737 yards) and total offense (2258). Led CWU to perfect 9-0 record in 1963. Averaged 11 points and 5.3 rebounds during. 71 game basketball career.
