Trinidad opened her season at the Candy Cane Multi-Events hosted by Eastern Washington University last weekend. She competed in the Pentathlon last Friday. Trinidad would earn a second-place finish with a total of 3,263 total points. The performance is an NCAA Championships provisional qualifier, ranking her 21st nationally. Trinidad was electric for the Wildcats in her return to indoor track. She scurried to a time of 8.46 in the 55-meter hurdles. The time was the best in the event. Trinidad earned the top spot in the 800-meter run as well. She finished the race with a time of 2:17.1. Pentathlon competitors also tried their hand in the high jump, shot put and long jump. Trinidad cleared 4-07.5 in the high jump. She threw the shot put 26-02.75. She set a mark of 16-09.25 in the long jump.
