Men's Rugby Stays Perfect with 57-0 win over Eastern Washington

The Central Washington University  men's rugby team kept their perfect record intact (7-0. 6-0 NCRC) Sunday with a 57-0 victory over Eastern Washington University.

Winter conditions made it difficult for either team to control the ball at times, however, the Wildcats were able to dominant possession and territory despite the conditions.

"It was difficult for us at time to hang onto the ball but we adjusted well after the first 20 minutes and were able to score some nice tries" CWU Head Coach Tony Pacheco said..

Central's first score came from freshman wing CAMERON MAREK who raced up the left sideline to score a try. Marek would go on to add two more tries for the hat trick, his third from 80 meters out. Junior flanker GRIFFIN BOUDIA added a hat trick of tries of his own, all in the second-half. Senior scrum half ANDREW NELSON kicked 6 of 9 conversions for the Wildcats.

Next up for the Wildcats, the Boise State Broncos come to Ellensburg on Saturday Mar. 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the Varsity Soccer Field.
