ELLENSBURG, Wash. (May 20) – The Central Washington University Department of Athletics will be unveiling their new athletics brand identity on Wednesday, May 25, at 1:30 p.m. in the Student Union Recreation Center (SURC) Pit.
The new brand identity will be exclusive to CWU Athletics and includes a new primary mark, secondary marks, as well as a custom font and numbers. As part of the brand identity development, a committee consisting of members from across the Central Washington campus community was involved in the five-month process.
Central Washington Athletics worked with Joe Bosack & Co., out of Pottsville, Penn. Joe Bosack & Co. have worked with numerous collegiate institutions, such as Boise State, Mississippi State, Austin Peay, and Xavier. They also hold a multi-year contract with the NCAA which includes all championship logos for all sports, across all three divisions, including the Final Four.
"It's been a long but very educational process," Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs
Tyler Unsicker said. "Joe Bosack & Co. have been fantastic to work with and we are extremely pleased with the final product."
Unsicker and Director of Athletics Dennis Francois will be on hand to unveil the new branding. The press conference is open to the public and will last approximately 30 minutes.
