ELLENSBURG, (Mar. 8) – The Central Washington University men's rugby team heads to Tacoma, Washington for a 15's fixture against the Tacoma Rugby Club.

The Nomads are part of the Pacific Northwest Rugby Football Union and are members of USA Rugby.

"March is a big month for us and Tacoma signals the start of a challenging schedule for us," CWU Head Coach Todd Thornley said.  "We have a great opportunity to make improvements on both sides of the ball against a very physical men's club. The challenge for us this week is to prepare at a high level so then we can execute at a high level, we have to leave no stone unturned in our daily preparations going forward into the second half of the season."

The Wildcats are currently undefeated in 15's play.

"Our student-athletes are beyond excited to transition back into 15's mode and put a good performance out there on Saturday," Thornley added.
"Nothing but our best effort every day is acceptable in order to achieve our program goals this year, Tacoma gives us a great opportunity to demonstrate this."

Central Washington most recently finished fourth at the Las Vegas 7's Invitational.  The Wildcats last 15's outing came against Abbotsford RFC on February 18.  The Wildcats came away with a 31-5 victory.

The Nomads took on Skagit last weekend.  Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday (Mar. 11).
