ELLENSBURG, Wash. --The Central Washington University softball team lost all three of its games against Western Oregon University (18-14, 6-4 GNAC) Saturday afternoon at Fredrick field falling to 19-8 on the season and 7-3 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.

The Wildcats batted just .228 on the day, however,
Savannah Egbert went 6 for 12 form her leadoff position, driving in three runs and scoring twice.Â
Rachael Johnson,
Celine Fowler and
Theresa Moyle tallied three hits on the day, with Fowler picking up three RBI on the day.

The first game of the day was a resumption of play from the Wildcats and Wolves Mar. 18 series in Monmouth, Ore. The Wolves led 4-0 in the bottom of the second, which is where the game picked up Saturday.

Alycia Bannan cut the lead in half on a two-run single in the third inning scoring Egbert and Johnson. Western Oregon gained one more on a dropped pop-fly by the Wildcats, who got back to within two runs in the fourth inning when Egbert plated Johnson on a single up the middle.

Western Oregon added one more in the sixth to take the 6-3 win.

Game two of the day went 10 innings with the Wolves scoring five in the top of the tenth to earn an 11-6 victory.

The game went scoreless into the fourth inning where the Wolves picked up a run on a single by Sydney Bowers. Egbert leveled the game with her third RBI of the day, again scoring Johnson in the bottom of the fifth.

Western Oregon scored three times in the sixth to go up 4-1, but CWU responded in the bottom half, scoring twice on a sacrifice fly by Moyle followed by a RBI single by Fowler to close the gap to 4-3.

Down 6-3 heading into the bottom of the seventh, Central scored three times to tie the game, highlighted by a pinch hit double by
Maddy Zerr that brought around Egbert and
Katie Kastning.

The game remained 6-6 heading into the 10
th inning, where two CWU errors allowed the Wolves to tally five runs and secure the game two win.
Â
Lexie Strasser pitched all 10 innings, giving up just three earned runs, but picked up the loss to fall to 10-5 on the season.

In game three, the Wildcats secured their first lead of the day when Zerr hit her second double, scoring
Taelor Griffin on the play.

Western Oregon put up four in the third inning, on four hits, to take a 4-1 lead.
Â
The Wildcats added once run in the fourth on a Folwer double, and again in the sixth as Fowler tripled to left center, pulling CWU to within one run at 4-3. Central Washington went down in order in the seventh as WOU walked away with the victory and the three-game sweep.

The Wildcats will look to bounce back when they host Concordia University tomorrow, Mar. 31 at 1 and 3 p.m.
