Track and Field Competes at Three Events

ELLENSBURG, Wash. (Mar. 16) --  The Central Washington University track and field split its squad into three this weekend with athletes competing at the Peyton Scoring Meet, the Doris Heritage Track Festival, and the EOU Team Challenge.
 
Peyton Scoring Meet
  • Avery Fisk took third on the women's side in the discus throw with a mark of 37.69 meters (123-08)
   
  • Aidan Cain claimed first in the men's discus throw with a mark of 44.85 meters (147-02) in the finals.
 
  • Martin Napeahi finished second in the men's discus with a mark of 43.05 meters (141-03).
 
Doris Heratage Invitational
  • The Wildcats' women's 4x400 team claimed first with a time of 3:57.62.
 
  • Halle Irvine won the women's long jump with a mark of 5.27 meters (17-02)
 
  • Brittany Dodge won the women's shot put with a mark of 11.32 meters (37-01).
 
  • Sydney Trinidad finished second in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.98.
 
  • Braydon Maier finished third in the men's 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.02.Ryan Gunther finished just behind in fourth with a time of 15.34.
 
  • Daniel Calderon finished second in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 49.75.
 
  • Lilly Tyrell finished third in the women's 800-meter dash with a time of 2:16.56.
 
  • Zack Sundt finished third in the men's 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:12.80.
 
  • The Wildcats claimed sports 4-7 in the women's hammer throw, while the men claimed 3-6 and eighth.
 
  • Brooke Williams finished second in the long jump with a mark of 5.17 meters (16-10).
 
  • The men's 4x400 relay finished second with a time of 3:26.50.
