"This is the first class I've been with for four years here at Central," CWU Head Coach
Mike Larabee said. "They are incredible young ladies. It's been an absolute privilege to coach them. They are the heart and soul of our team right now. Not only great softball players, but they show great character and work ethic. They allow me to worry about the things I need to do and take care of the locker room. Hopefully I get to continue to coach them through the end of May."
Julia Reuble was the star of game one between the Wildcats (28-14, 19-5) and Saints (20-23, 10-14). Reuble hammered two home runs. The first came in the top of the first when.

"Julia didn't get off to the start she wanted to, but she put in the work," Larabee said. "She's always been a great hitter. Julia went to work and her hard work is paying off."

"Seven out of the nine runs they scored were unearned," Larabee said. "If we give them what they deserve, we win the ballgame 3-2. The old adage is that defense wins championships and offense wins games and we have a very good offense. We got to tighten up our defense if we want to get where we want to be."
The Wildcats found some offense in game two. In the second inning, Egbert singled to center, scoring
Sydney Brown. The Wildcats added another run in the fifth.
Alycia Bannan singled to center, scoring Egbert. In their last chance at the plate, the Wildcats plated one run. It was Bannan who knocked a sacrifice fly into right field. Kastning used exceptional speed to score from second base on the play.
The Wildcats travel to Oregon for the final weekend of regular-season Great Northwest Athletic Conference games. Next Saturday, the Wildcats take on Concordia (Ore.) in a doubleheader before taking on Western Oregon in a twin bill the next day.
