Wildcats Add 10 Recruits to 2019-2020 Signing Class

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington University Men's Rugby and Head Coach Todd Thornley are excited to announce the signing of 10 athletes to the 2019-2020 recruiting class.

Joining the Wildcats this upcoming year are plethora of athletes hailing from different areas around the world. Of the 10 signees, three are international athletes from Australia, England, and South Africa. Also included in this class are a pair of All-Americans in Mitchell Hirose of Kihei, Hawaii and Calvin Liulamaga of Auburn, Wash.

"This class is special as we identified specific needs athletically within our program and recruited accordingly. The outcome of getting 10 highly talented student-athletes was more then we could ask for as we look to compliment a great core group returning and looking to build on this past year," Coach Thornley said.

This group of 10 recruits will join a core of 29 returning student-athletes from last season that will add a combination of youth, depth, and veteran presence for the upcoming campaign.

"They are proven great students in the classroom and that work ethic will transfer into their development as rugby athletes for the next 4-5 years. They are all coming with great rugby experience and all have the ability to make an impact instantly," Coach Thornley said. "We cannot wait to get the Class of 2019 fully integrated into our program, university and wider community in what is a very exciting year coming up for Wildcat Men's Rugby".
