SEATTLE, WA.—The Wildcats opened the spring 2021 season at Seattle Pacific University in the Doris Heritage Track Festival.
QUOTABLE
"It was definitely good to be back at it after over a year. We saw a good number of things with some high placers, event winners with some new people in the mix. We had some great competitiveness against some of the top GNAC schools like Western Washington and SPU. In addition to event winners we had some personal records for a bunch of people which is super encouraging." Said CWU Head Coach
Kevin Adkisson. "After such a long time it was like a shake off the dust type of meet, getting back to remembering what competition is like, which is expected for a lot of people. We did see a lot of people that were excited to be out there and re-learn events and the feeling of completion. Our goal is to keep building on that into next week. The weather was decent, but the one unfortunate piece of the event was the rain kicked back up in the afternoon and the Men's Pole Vault had to be cancelled."
