ELLENSBURG, Wash.—After finishing the indoor season just under two weeks ago, Central Washington Track & Field is headed to the Pacific Lutheran Invitational for its first outdoor competition of the year this Friday and Saturday.
The meet will feature a cluster of both men's and women's teams from around the Pacific Northwest.
"Always excited to head into the outdoor season," Central Washington Head Coach Kevin Adkission said. "We consider this the primary season of the year, it's a little longer and our main peaking is focused on the end of the season and outdoor championships. Especially on the men's side, our entire roster is active compared to the smaller indoor season."
Meagan Smallbeck (weight throw),
Austin Albertin (400m), and
Lauryn Chandler (60m hurdles) are coming off of big finishes to their 2021-22 indoor seasons.
