Strong Second Half Propels Wildcats Over Bruins 52-21

WESTWOOD, Calif. - Three Wildcats scored multiple tries to lead the Central Washington University men's rugby team to a 52-21 victory over UCLA early Saturday afternoon, including a dominant second half that held the Bruins scoreless.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Calvin Liulamaga kicked off the scoring for the Wildcats with a try in the 10th minute, followed by a successful conversion attempt from Oliver Cline.
The Bruins responded quickly, evening up the score at 7-7.
In the 16th minute, Oscar Treacy scored his first try of the day to give the 'Cats a 12-7 lead.
Liulamaga added his second try nine minutes later with another Cline conversion, expanding the CWU lead to 19-7.
After another UCLA try, Treacy received the ball and took it the length of the pitch in the 33rd minute. The Wildcats led 26-14.
The Bruins showed fight late in the first half, scoring a try right before the break. Entering halftime, CWU held a five-point lead at 26-21.
The Wildcats dominated the second half, scoring four tries, starting with Albert O'Shannessey in the 47th minute.
Treacy scored his third try of the fixture in the 61st minute.
The Crimson and Black held UCLA scoreless after halftime.
