QUOTING HEAD COACH TODD THORNLEY:
"Arizona is well coached, talented, and one of the most complete rugby teams we have seen so far this year so we are going to have to put out a far better performance than we did this past week to have any chance of having some success on Saturday. If we can learn from the BYU game, work really hard for each other, and leave everything out on the field then we should have a good day. Anything less, then this dangerous Arizona team will make us pay."
ABOUT THE ARIZONA WILDCATS:
Arizona has had a grueling spring schedule thus far, only facing teams ranked #20 or higher on their way to a 3-2 record. Arizona's losses have come to the hands of BYU and California. Most recently, Arizona dominated the #12 Colorado Buffaloes with a massive 56-12 victory.
In the all-time history between the two sides, CWU holds a 6-1 record. The most recent Battle of the Wildcats ended in CWU's favor, with a 60-13 win in Tucson, Ariz. on Feb. 26, 2022. This is Arizona's final regular season matchup ahead of the D1A Playoffs in April.
