PORTLAND, Ore. - Austin Albertin and
Sam Lauderdale picked up GNAC Player of the Week awards for their respective performances during the weekend, the conference office announced this morning.
Albertin combined for three event wins on his way to being named the GNAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week as the Central Washington University track and field team recorded 11 event wins at the Wildcat Open on Saturday.
The senior from Finley, Wash. finished 1st in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.54 seconds. His time now leads the GNAC this year. Albertin also participated in the 4x100 and 4x400 winning relay teams that set season-best times.

Next weekend, the Wildcats will be split up for a pair of meets, including the Ralph Vernacchia Invitational and the Oregon State High Performance Meet.
