PORTLAND, Ore. - An NCAA provisional qualifying time, two PRs, and two new additions to the CWU all-time top-10 earn Johan Correa his first GNAC Track Athlete of the Week award of the outdoor season.  

Correa doubled up down in Monmouth, earning PRs in both the 800m and the 1500m. Running his first outdoor 800m race since the GNAC Championships in May of last year, Correa broke out a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:50.47. That time is the fastest in the GNAC this season and lands Correa at number 10 in division II this year. 

In the 1500m Correa became the first Wildcat in nine years to break into the CWU all-time top-10 list for the event. His time of 3:54.06 is good for number eight in CWU history and number seven in the GNAC this season.
