ELLENSBURG, Wash. - In their ongoing efforts to maximize opportunities for student-athletes to monetize their name, image and likeness (NIL), Central Washington University has announced a partnership with Influxer.
Influxer is an officially licensed vendor, creating co-branded apparel customized with players' names and numbers. Through this partnership, Influxer will provide education and training on marketing, entrepreneurship, and personal branding.
"Central Washington University Athletics is excited to partner with Influxer and the opportunity for our 425-plus student-athletes to capitalize on their name, image, and likeness. We are equally excited about the educational opportunities and training offered to our student-athletes through our partnership as we embark on a new era of intercollegiate athletics," said Director of Athletics Dennis Francois.
Every CWU student-athlete will have the opportunity to create their own web page that offers personalized gear available for purchase. In addition to the online store, the Influxer team oversees all fulfillment and customer service, while collaborating with Central Washington and its student-athletes on creative elements and marketing.
"The NIL landscape is constantly evolving and working with CWU Athletics has been an amazing opportunity to see the vision they have for Central Washington University providing great options through Influxer for their student-athletes. They see this as not simply a transactional opportunity, but as an opportunity to develop long term skills for life," said Influxer Vice President Keith Miller.
Influxer, who is partnered with over 300 universities, including Oklahoma, LSU and Houston, will not only oversee the online store, but also all fulfillment and customer service while collaborating with Central Washington and its student-athletes on creative elements and marketing.
