PORTLAND, Ore. – Twelve members of the Central Washington University Cross Country Teams earned Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Academic honors, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. Western Washington paved the way with 13 GNAC All-Academic honorees.
The Wildcat Women's Cross Country Team had eight selections:
Natalie Barta, Helayna Bonilla, Payton Conover, Heidi Gill, Jessica Henry, Camryn Holterhoff, Julie Johnson and Hannah Pidduck
Six of the eight runners are earning their first GNAC All-Academic honor, with Barta and Holterhoff earning their second straight All-Academic honor. Barta is currently earning a 3.88 GPA in Biomedical Sciences while Holterhoff is an Elementary Educations major and owns a 3.88 GPA. Bonilla owns a 3.76 GPA along with Conover's 4.0 GPA and Gill having a 3.55 GPA, all three with undeclared majors. Henry is earning a 3.37 GPA in Computer Science and Johnson has a 3.92 GPA in Chemistry. Finally, Pidduck rounding it out, owning a 3.35 GPA undeclared, respectively.
The Wildcat Men's Cross Country Team had four selections led by
Charles Naught who earned his first GNAC All-Academic honor with a 3.93 in Biology.
Earning their first All-Academic honors is
Luke Hurd,
Max Hutton, and
Ethan Moore. Hurd is currently earning a 3.8 GPA in BioChem while Hutton owns a 3.25 GPA in Electronics Engineering Tech, and Moore has a 4.0 GPA in Applied Mathematics.
To qualify for GNAC All-Academic honors, nominees must be of sophomore eligibility or greater, as well as in their second season playing for the institution. They must also have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater and must be on the roster the full season.
