QUOTING HEAD COACH TODD THORNLEY
"We have spent the last two weeks training hard and working on key areas of our game, so I am eager to see if we have progressed this coming Saturday. Cal Poly have played a lot more rugby than us, they are extremely well coached and have some fantastic athletes with great skillsets so we will be put under a lot of pressure. We look forward to playing in front of our fans and putting in a performance we can be proud of".

ABOUT THE FIXTURE
The Mustangs arrive at Tomlinson Stadium with an impressive start to their season, sitting at #16 nationally following dominant victories over UC Santa Cruz and Santa Clara. In their matchup with Santa Clara, they cruised to a commanding 112-10 win, and against UC Santa Cruz, they secured a 104-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, the Wildcats were set to face Trinity Western on February 8th, but the match was canceled due to poor weather conditions. They are coming off a solid 38-29 victory over the University of Victoria in Ellensburg, and the 'Cats are eager to continue building momentum as they aim for an upset this week.

The Crimson and Black have a perfect 4-0 record all-time against the Mustangs, with their most recent win coming on February 17th, 2024, in San Luis Obispo, California, where CWU triumphed 41-20.
