ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The #10 Central Washington University men's rugby team (2-1) beat #15 Cal Poly by a final score of 20-12. A strong overall collective team performance from the 'Cats geared them to a victory at home on Saturday in snowy conditions.
Campbell Robb led the way with two successful try's.

"Conditions and Cal Poly made it very tough on us today, but we adapted enough to find a way to win. We have plenty to work on but I'm happy our guys had high off ball efforts which is something we can build off heading into a huge challenge next week."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the seventh minute, Jac Tregoning put the Wildcats on the board, scoring a penalty kick that gave CWU a 3-0 lead. The kick was clean and well-placed, setting the tone for the match.
- In the 25th minute, Campbell Robb showcased his skills with an incredible individual effort, breaking through multiple defenders for a spectacular try. His agility and quick decision-making extended CWU's lead to 8-0.
- 30th minute: Robb extends the lead with his second successful try of the match, 13-0 CWU.
- In the 32nd minute, Cal Poly responded with a stunning play. Coby Baker displayed impressive speed and strength, sprinting 40 yards to score a try for the Broncos. The successful conversion from their kicker brought them within striking distance, cutting CWU's lead to 13-7.
- Halftime: CWU 13, Cal Poly 7
- In the 53rd minute, Tiai Vavao executed a try, extending the 'Cats lead to 18-7, followed by a Tregoning conversion, 20-7 CWU.
- 63rd minute: Julian DeRaffele kept the Mustangs in the game with a well-taken try, capitalizing on some loose play from the Wildcats, 20-12.
