MONMOUTH, Ore. The Central Washington University Softball Team wrapped up their weekend in Oregon with a pair of setbacks on Saturday afternoon.

GAME 1:

- Records: CWU (2-16, 0-4 GNAC), WOU (10-13, 4-0 GNAC)

GAME 1:
SCORING:
- Isabelle Lewis reached on an error by the second baseman to score Victoria Zimmerman in the third inning making it 1-0 WOU.
- Serena Perez tied things up in the fourth when she singled to center field to score Zoey Theophilus.
- The Wolves responded in the bottom of the fourth when Zimmerman tripled to center field to score Madelynne Hommel and Hope Bodak followed by Aaliyah Gaboriault singling through the left side to score Zimmerman making it 4-1 WOU.
- McKayla Cable tied things up in the fifth with her second homerun of her career scoring Karsyn Decker and Jessica Reitz-Eaton in the process.
- The Wolves responded in the bottom of the fifth when Lexi Carlos singled through the left side to score Gracie Nelson followed by Bodak sacrificing herself to the right fielder to score Sydney Conklin to make it 6-4 WOU.
- Still in the fifth Hommel doubled to left field to score Brooklyn Schneidt followed by Gaboriault reaching on a fielder's choice to score Carlos making it 8-4 WOU.
- Zoey Theophilus added one more in the seventh when she singled to center field to score Decker making it 8-5 WOU.
HITTING:
- Reitz-Eaton led CWU with two hits while Decker, Cable, Theophilus, Brooke Blocker, Perez, and Adriana Rodriguez all had one hit.
- Cable had three RBI while Theophilus and Perez each had one.
- Theophilus and Perez each drew one walk.
- Eight different Wolves logged one hit.
- Zimmerman and Gaboriault each had two RBI to lead WOU.
PITCHING:
- Payton Kessler pitched 4.1 innings allowing eight hits, eight runs with seven earned, and five walks while striking out one of 27 batters.
- Olivia Ross pitched the final 1.2 innings allowing only one walk while striking out one of six batters.
- Kennedy Abbas pitched all seven innings allowing eight hits, five runs with three being earned, and two walks while striking out five of 32 batters.
GAME 2:
SCORING:
- Decker put the 'Cats on the board first in the first inning when Theophilus reached on a fielder's choice allowing time for Decker to score making it 1-0 CWU.
- In the third inning Theophilus reached on an error by the first baseman to score Decker once more to make it 2-0 CWU.
- The Wolves tied things up with a homerun in the fourth inning from Schneidt to score Conklin as well.
- The Wolves took the lead in the fifth inning when Ronning homered to left field to score Hommel and make it 4-2 WOU.
HITTING:
- Reitz-Eaton led the 'Cats once again with two hits while Decker, Cable, Theophilus, Blocker, Perez, and Rodriguez all had one hit apiece.
- Theophilus had the only RBI for CWU.
- The Wolves were led by Zimmerman with two hits while Ronning and Schneidt each had two RBI.
PITCHING:
- Theophilus pitched six innings allowing seven hits, four runs, and one walk while striking out one of 27 batters.
- Abby Stansbury pitched all seven innings allowing eight hits, two runs with one being earned, and no walks, facing 30 batters.
SERIES HISTORY:
- The Wolves are now 77-70 over the 'Cats all-time.
- CWU is 22-39 in Monmouth all-time.
- WOU is 7-3 over the crimson and black in the past 10 matchups.
UP NEXT:
- The Wildcats will welcome the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks (11-10, 1-3 GNAC) for their season home-opener next Friday and Saturday for a pair of double-headers.
