CLE ELUM, Wash. – The 23rd annual Kitna Wildcat Classic, held on Thursday, July 10th at Suncadia Resort, was another resounding success for the Central Washington University Athletic Department.
Over 200 golfers competed in the event, which was split between a morning session on the Prospector Course and an afternoon session spent on the Rope Rider Course.
"It was another great year for the Kitna Wildcat Classic presented by Wells Fargo," CWU Director of Athletics Dr. Dennis Francois said. "I am always amazed to see the support of the Wildcat faithful at this event and how it serves as a homecoming for many of our alumni and friends. Through the generous support of our numerous sponsors and the Kitna golfers, we are able provide much needed support for our student-athletes as they pursue excellence in competition and in the classroom."
"Our sponsors deserve a huge thank you. Our presenting sponsor Wells Fargo, the course sponsors: Wendy Iwaszuk, Steve Damm, and the Starline Collection, and fellow sponsors Multicare, Fournier Insurance Solutions, Sports Legends Photography, Edward Jones and David Fisk, Ellensburg Solar, The Daily Record, Alford Law Group, Iron Horse Brewery, BSN Sports, Coca-Cola of Yakima and the Tri-Cities, Central Banc, Tommy Bahama, SCS Financial Advisors, HUB International, Puget Sound Construction, and J.P.
