2024-2025: Capri picked up with the track and field team follwing her basketball season and immediately made waves in the conference. Her first ever collegiate meet was at home for the Wildcat Invitational, where she placed fourth in shot put with a throw of 13.53m. Capri's throw makes her number three in school history for outdoor shot put. After an impressive first meet, Capri qualified for the Outdoor GNAC Championships in shot put, where she placed sixth overall. 
Background: Capri Sims joined the Women's Basketball team as a freshman in 2023. She was a powerhouse on both the court and track, earning Third Team All-State for basketball in 2023. She ended her high school track and field career placing second in state in both the shot put and the discus, with a standout PR of 45'6.5" in the shot put. After a big freshman season on the court where she was ranked 22nd in Division II for Defensive Rebounds per Game (3.8) and earned GNAC Athlete of the Week. Capri joined the Track and Field roster for her sophomore season after finishing out her basketball season, where she was Preseason All-GNAC.
