Biography
2024-2025: Carley's junior indoor season not only showed her ability to compete in a multitude of events, but set her up to do big things come outdoor season. At the UW Invite, she had a PR in the 60m dash and in the pentathlon, with a score of 3319. At the Indoor GNAC Championships, Carley qualified in the 4x400m relay and the pentathlon. Her and her relay team placed third in the 4x400m and she placed fourth in the pentathlon. Carley transferred this momentum into the first outdoor meet of the season, where she placed first in the heptathlon with a new PR of 4313. Following the CWU WIldcat Opener, she competed at the Oregon Preview in the 400m hurdles, running 1:03.17 and placing second. At the Wildcat Invitational, Carley had a PR in the 100m hurdles and placed second, as well as a first place finish in the 400m hurdles. She was a six event qualifier for the Outdoor GNAC Championships, including the heptathlon, long jump, high jump, 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, and the 4x400m relay. Overall, Carley had four PR's during championships and made her way onto three of the CWU all-time performance lists. She had PR's in the high jump and long jump- placing seventh in both. Scoring 4610 points in the heptathlon, Carley placed third and moved herself up to seventh on the all-time heptathlon list. Running the second leg of the 4x400m relay, Carley helped them to place second in the conference and break the school record with a time of 3:45.23. To round out an already impactful championship, Carley had another PR in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.13- winning the event and moving her to the third spot on the all-time 400m hurdle performance list.
2023-2024: As a sophomore, Carley competed in the 60 meter hurdles, long jump, the 4x400 meter relay, high jump, and the pentathlon during indoor season. At the Indoor GNAC Championship, Carley qualified in both the pentathlon and the high jump. She had a big PR in the pentathlon with a score of 3056 and placed fifth. Going into outdoor she carried this same momentum through her various events, one of the most noteable being a fifth place finish in the 400m hurdles at the Oregon Preview. Throughout the outdoor season, Carley competed in the 100m and 400m hurdles, long jump, high jump, the 4x400m relay, the 200m dash, and the heptathlon. At the CWU Wildcat Invitational she and her team finished first in the 4x400m relay, and she finished third in the 400m hurdles. For the Outdoor GNAC Championships, Carley was a four event qualifier for the heptathlon, 400m hurdles, the 4x400m relay, and long jump. She had a PR in the heptathlon, scoring 4011 points and placing sixth, as well as a PR in the 400m hurdles (1:04.11) where she placed fifth. Her relay team placed third in the 4x400m, and she placed eighth in the long jump.
2022-2023: Carley started her Wildcat career ready for anything. During her freshman indoor season, she ran the 400 and 800 meter dash, the 60m hurdles, the Distance Medley Relay, high jump, and the pentathlon. She was a three-event qualifier for the Indoor GNAC Championships, in the high jump, the DMR, and the pentathlon where she placed 8th. Carley continued to compete in various events throughout outdoor season, including the 100 and 400 meter hurdles, the 200 meter dash, long jump, high jump, the 4x400 meter relay, and the heptathlon.
Background: Carley comes to Central Washington from Emerald Ridge High School where she was named the Tacoma Athletic Commision Athlete of the year in 2021. Her senior season she achieved new personal bests in the 100 hurdles of 17.5 and had record of 47.0 in the 300 hurdles. She was a state qualifier in the 4x400 relay and 300 hurdles as a sophomore.
