Brittany Hall (Aanstad), a former NCAA Division II national champion, joined the Central Washington University track and field coaching staff as a full-time assistant coach in December 2013.

Hall, who most recently served as a graduate assistant coach at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky., was a standout student-athlete at Seattle Pacific University from 2008-12. She was a three-time All-American in the women's javelin, including a national championship in the event during her senior season in 2012, when she set a personal record with a throw of 168 feet, 1 inch. She later participated in the U.S. Olympic Trials in the javelin. Aanstad also earned her B.A. in Physical Education with an emphasis in exercise science from Seattle Pacific University in 2012.

In addition to her standout status in the javelin, she was an all-conference performer -- and a Great Northwest Athletic Conference champion in the indoor high jump -- in multiple events. She earned all-GNAC honors in the heptathlon, high jump, pole vault, long jump in addition to her success in the javelin.

As a student at Lake Stevens High School, Aanstad was a three-time state champion -- twice in the javelin and once in the heptathlon -- during her four-year career with the Vikings before graduating in 2007.

Hall currently resides in Ellensburg.
