2024-2025: As a sophomore, Josh was ready to build on where he left off. During indoor season Josh added triple jump to his list of events, including 60m hurdles and the 4x400m relay. He qualified for all three at the Indoor GNAC Championships, placing 6th in the 60m hurdles, 5th in the 4x400m relay, and 4th in the triple jump. In his first meet of outdoor, the Wildcat Opener, Josh competed in the decathlon for the first time and in the triple jump. He placed 2nd in the triple jump and 3rd in the decathlon, with new personal records in the high jump and the long jump. He then went on to place 2nd in the 400m hurdles at the Oregon Preview meet, 1st in the 400m hurdles and 4x100m relay at the Wildcat Invitational, and 3rd in the triple jump at the same meet. Josh had a huge conference meet, where he competed in the decathlon for the second time, the 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, the 4x100m relay, the 4x400m relay, and the triple jump. In the decathlon, Josh had seven event personal records during the meet including the 100m dash, 1500m run, 400m dash, discus, javelin, pole vault, and shot put. Not only this, but he had an overall dacathlon personal record of 5945 points that earned him 2nd place in the conference. Josh carried over this momentum into his open events and had a PR in the 400m hurdles of 52.91 where he placed 2nd. He also placed 3rd in the triple jump, and helped to place 5th in both the 4x100m where he ran the first leg and 4x400m relays. Josh ran the first leg of the 4x100m relay and the third leg of 4x400m relay. His performance in the 400m hurdles of 52.91 became the new CWU School Record. With his GNAC Championship performances, Josh tied for the GNAC High Scorer of the Meet award. He also makes two appearances on the 4x400m relay All-Time List and makes three appearances on the 4x100m relay All-Time List. 
2023-2024: Josh started his career as a Wildcat running the 60 meter hurdles and 4x400 meter relay during his first indoor season. At the Indoor GNAC Championships, Josh qualified in both his events. He ran a season's best in the 60m hurdles during finals, getting 5th place. He also ran the first leg of the 4x400m relay team where they placed 6th at Conference. Going into outdoor season, Josh ran the 110 meter hurdles, 400 meter hurdles, the 4x100 meter relay, the 4x400 meter relay, and competed in the triple jump. At the CWU Wildcat Invitational not only did he place 1st in the 400m hurdles, but he also ran his season's best of 53.71. At this same meet, Josh's 4x100m relay team also placed 1st and he placed 5th in the 110m hurdles. Josh was a four-time Outdoor GNAC Championship qualifier in the 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, triple jump, and the 4x100m relay. He ran his current personal record in the 110m hurdles of 14.91 and placed 5th overall. While he only competed in the triple jump once before GNAC, Josh placed 5th at conference. He took home his first title in the 400m hurdles after coming out of prelims as the first seed. As the first leg of the 4x100m relay, Josh helped them to run 40.88 and win another conference title. His PR of 14.91 in the 110m hurdles ranks Josh as 9th on the Outdoor CWU All-Time List. 
Background: Joshua Boast stays local at Central Washington University coming from Ellensburg High School. He was named the track and field team MVP 3 times during his career. He holds the school record in the 300m hurdles with a time of 39.11. During his senior year he was a 4 event scorer winning the 300m hurdles, placing 2nd in the 110m hurdles, 7th in the triple jump, and as a member of the 4th place Bulldog 4x100m relay.
