Achievements: Athletics- Sultan High School Female Athlete of the Spring (2022, 2023, 2024), Emerald Sound - All Conference First Team (2022, 2023, 2024), Sultan High School Female Athlete of the Year (2024), WIAA State Qualifier (2022, 2023, 2024), 8th place in High Jump @ 2022 WIAA State Championships, 4th place in High Jump @ 2024 WIAA State Championships. 4th place in Javelin @ 2024 WIAA State Championships, 5th place @ Washington State Combined Events Championship (Heptathlon - 3891), School (Sultan High School) Record in the Heptathlon and in Javelin, First in the state of Washington (high school girls) for Javelin. Academics- Graduated with my Associates Degree through Running Start (started my junior year of high school and finished my senior year)

Background: Evelyn “Joy” Ayodeji joins the Wildcat track and field roster alongside her twin Blessing. She is a graduate of Sultan High School and is the #1 ranked female javelin thrower in the state of Washington’s 2024 recruiting class. She was named Sultan High School’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2024 and Female Athlete of the Spring in 2022, 2023, and 2024. She holds her high school’s record in the heptathlon and in the javelin. Joy qualified for the WIAA State Championships in the high jump placing 8th in 2022, 11th in 2023, and 4th in 2024. She also qualified for the WIAA State meet in the javelin in 2023 and placed 4th in 2024. Joy placed 5th at the 2024 Washington State Combined Events Championships and was awarded the Courtney Kirkwood Throws Award for most combined points in the throws.
2024-2025: Joy finished her freshman year as a Wildcat with two GNAC Championship appearances, competing in both multi and open events during each championship. She had three personal records during the GNAC Indoor Pentathlon, and continued this pattern into GNAC Outdoor. As a freshman, Joy finished 9th overall during the GNAC Indoor and Outdoor Multi Championships, as well as 10th in the the Open Javelin during Outdoor Championships. Joy's PR in shot put  improved to 11.23m by the end of indoor, and finished fourth at the GNAC Indoor Pentathlon shot!
