Background: Sofia Guevara comes to Central from Tahoma High School in Maple Valley, WA. She was a three year WIAA State Track and Field Meet qualifier in the short sprints, hurdles, and relays for the Bears. In 2023, Sofia ran the second leg on the Tahoma State Championship qualifying 4x400m relay. During her junior season, she qualified individually for the Washington State Meet in the open 100m and the 300m hurdles while also taking home a third place finish as a member of the 4x100m relay and a 5th place finish in the 4x200m relay. Sophia had a standout senior season qualifying for her first State meet in the 200m, taking home state runner-up honors in the open 100m and in the 4x200m, and capping off her high school careers the anchor leg for the State Championship winning 4x100m relay team. Sophia will be majoring in marketing for fashion merchandising.
