Biography

Background: Emily Hampton is an incoming transfer who competed for Western Oregon University during her first year of eligibility. Originally a competitive softball player, Emily began learning to throw the discus during her junior year of high school. She competed in the event for two seasons at North Bend High School in Oregon. She finished 3rd in the Sky Em League Championships her senior year and 4th her junior year in the Discus. Emily’s older brother Ty is currently a Javelin thrower at Rice University.
