Biography

2024-2025: In Tehya's junior year as a Wildcat, she competed in both long and triple jump during indoor season. She placed 9th at the UW Invite in the triple jump (10.97m). Following this at the Riverfront Meet, she jumped a new personal record of 11.12m. Tehya qualified in both jumps for the Indoor GNAC Championship, and placed 7th in the triple jump. The first meet of the outdoor season was the CWU Wildcat Opener, where Tehya competed in the triple jump and the heptathlon. She placed second in the open triple jump with another PR of 11.18m, and had three multi-event PR's throughout her heptathlon competition. At the CWU Wildcat Invitational, Tehya competed in the 100m hurdles as well as both jumps- where she placed first in the 100m hurdles, 2nd in the triple, and 3rd in the long jump. All three marks were new PR's, with a mark of 11.44m in the triple, and a mark of 5.17m in the long jump. She qualified for the Outdoor GNAC Championship in the 100m hurdles, long, and triple jump. Teyha matched her PR in the 100m hurdles, jumped just under her PR in the long jump, and had another PR in the triple jump. Her new and current PR in the triple of 11.74m placed her 4th at conference, and makes her number 4 on the All-Time List.
2023-2024: As a sophomore, Tehya picked up right where she left off from the previous outdoor season. She competed in both the long and triple jump throughout her indoor season, and qualified for the Indoor GNAC Championship in both events. Tehya jumped 10.74m in the triple to place 6th at conference.  Using this momentum in outdoor season, Tehya competed in the javelin throw, long jump, and triple jump. At the Whitworth Twilight Meet, she placed 5th in the long jump after jumping a new personal record of 5.00m. She also placed 3rd in the triple jump with a mark of 10.97m. Following this was another 3rd place finish at the CWU Wildcat Invitational in the triple jump, and a 7th place finish in the long jump. Tehya was a three-event qualifier for the Outdoor GNAC Championships in the javelin, long jump, and triple jump.
2022-2023: Tehya started her freshman career during the 2023 Indoor Season, where she competed in the 60m hurdles, long jump, and triple jump. Qualifying for the Indoor GNAC Championships in the triple jump, she had a season's best during the conference meet. Tehya ran the 100m dash and did the long and triple jump during outdoor season. She had a long jump personal record of 4.98m during the Ralph Vernacchia Invitational, where she also placed 4th in the triple jump. Tehya also improved on her indoor season's best in the triple jump at the Whitworth Peace Meet. She qualified and competed in the triple jump at the Outdoor GNAC Championship.
