Alfonzo Joaquin Amaranto

Alfonzo Amaranto is an assistant track and field coach with an eight-year background in sprinting, competing primarily in the 100m, 200m, and sprint relays for Bellarmine Prep High School and Alpha Speed Academy in Tacoma, WA.

His experience as a sprinter gives him a strong understanding of sprint mechanics, and the physical and mental demands of competition. Alfonzo brings an athlete-first approach to coaching, focusing on confidence, discipline, attention to detail, and the pursuit of consistent improvement both on and off the track.

Rooted in the belief that athletics are about more than performance alone, he is passionate about caring for and developing each athlete as a whole person. He aims to create an environment where athletes feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to continually strive for more, not only as competitors, but as teammates, leaders, and people.
