von Oelhoffen is in his first season with the 'Cats.

von Oelhoffen was hired as the Defensive Ends Coach in February, 2026.
 
Von Oelhoffen has gained valuable coaching experience at the NCAA Division II level, including serving as the Defensive Line Coach at rival Western Oregon as well as a Pass Rush Specialist at Texas A&M-Commerce, now East Texas A&M. He also spent several years at Richland High School, where he played a key role in developing the Bomber defense into one of the top units in Washington State.
 
Von Oelhoffen put together a very respected 14-year NFL career after being selected in the sixth round of the 1994 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He spent six seasons in Cincinnati before signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2000, where he became a key piece of one of the league's most physical defensive fronts. Known for his toughness and reliability along the defensive line, von Oelhoffen started the majority of his games in Pittsburgh and played an instrumental role in the franchise's championship run during the 2005 season, culminating in a victory in Super Bowl XL. He later finished his career with the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles. Over nearly 200 career games, von Oelhoffen recorded more than 350 tackles and 26.5 sacks, earning a reputation as a steady veteran presence and a consistent force in the trenches.

Von Oelhoffen, a Kaunakakai, Hawaii native, spent one year with the University of Hawai'i at Manoa before transferring to Walla Walla Community College where he spent his sophomore campaign, finishing his collegiate career at Boise State University.
