Kooper Richardson

Richardson is in his first season with CWU.

He joined the Wildcat staff in February, 2026.

Richardson most recently served as an Assistant Offensive Line Coach at Boise State University. He helped the Broncos to a 9-5 record that included a third-consecutive Mountain West Conference championship and a birth to the LA Bowl. While working with the Broncos offensive line unit, Richardson helped play a crucial part in the development of three student-athletes who were named All-Mountain West with Mason Randolph going on to play in the American Bowl.

Prior to his time at BSU, Richardson was an Offensive Assistant for the Offensive Line at Sacramento State for a season, helping the Hornets to an 8-5 record that saw Sacramento State take down then Pac-12 member Stanford on the road enroute to a second round appearance in the NCAA FCS Playoffs, taking down then 12th-ranked North Dakota in the first round on the road.

Before heading into the coaching realm, Richardson played one season with the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders where he saw several starts during the 2022 season.

Richardson played for Sacramento State for the 2021 season where he was named Second Team All-Big Sky after starting all 11 games at right tackle. Prior to his year at Sacramento State he played for Big Sky rival UC Davis from 2016-21 where he played in 30 games and served as a team captain. While with the Aggies, he was a consistent starter and played a vital role along the offensive line team that won a share of the Big Sky title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs in 2018. He was also the recipient of the team's Tony Kays Award in 2018 which is presented to the most improved offensive player each season.
