Junior guard Jawan Stepney scored a career-high 23 points to help the CWU men’s basketball team defeat Montana State Billings 81-77 to pick up its fourth Great Northwest Athletic Conference win of the season. Stepney scored 15 of his points in the second half where he connected on 7 of 8 shots after halftime, helping the Wildcats outscore the host Yellowjackets by 10 in the pivotal stanza. For the game, Stepney was 10 of 13 from the field and 2 of 3 from behind the arc. Stepney continues to improve with every game and is averaging 11.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2 rebounds for the season.
