True freshman Savannah Egbert was sensational at the plate last week against Western Washington, Western Oregon and Concordia and is a major reason why the Wildcats are riding an 11-game winning streak. Egbert raised her season batting average from .289 to .407 over the week, going 11 for 16 (.688) with eight runs scored, six RBIs, two doubles and a homerun. The swift freshman also went a perfect 7 for 7 in stolen base attempts, including four in the 9-2 game one victory over Concordia, setting a new CWU single game record. Egbert becomes the Wildcats first GNAC Player of the Week selection of 2017.
