Braydon Maier competed at the EWU Candy Cane Open over the weekend, earning GNAC Athlete of the Week. Maier finished day one in fourth in the men's heptathlon with 2,728 points. He set personal bests in the 55 (6.78), long jump (6.76m), and shot-put (11.55m). Maier compiled 5,132 points in total, after posting 2,728 on day one. He finished second in the 55-meter (7.98), first in the pole vault (4.65m), and third in the 1,000-meter dash (2:50.45).
