In his first two games of the year, Baker was an immediate impact for the Wildcats scoring in double figures as the Wildcats opened GNAC play. Against Seattle Pacific, he shot 5-6 from the floor and was a perfect 3-3 from three-point range scoring 14 points. He also pulled down four rebounds and dished out four assists for the Crimson and Black in 24 minutes of play off the bench. Against Saint Martin's, Baker shot the 8-10 overall and was 2-4 from deep to finish with 19 points. He was two rebounds shy of a double-double night with eight boards in 22 minutes of action off the bench.
