Central Drops Second Straight, Falling to Defending GNAC Champions


MONMOUTH, Ore. (Sept. 17) -- The Central Washington University volleyball team suffered its second straight loss on Thursday night, falling in four sets to host Western Oregon University in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference opener for both schools. The Wildcats fell to the Wolves by scores of 25-12, 25-22, 16-25, and 25-19 to fall to 8-4 overall and 0-1 in GNAC play. Western Oregon is now 4-8 overall and 1-0 in the GNAC.

Central Washington visits Northwest Nazarene (8-5, 1-1 GNAC) on Saturday night (Sept. 19) in Nampa, Idaho, with the match scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time (6 p.m. Pacific). CWU will return home next Thursday (Sept. 24) to face the Alaska Nanooks at Nicholson Pavilion.
