Duerr's offensive performance, which led four players in double figures and helped Central shoot 49.2 percent for the game, included 14 first-half points as the Wildcats built a 34-28 halftime advantage. Central never trailed in Saturday's victory, scoring the first five points of the contest on a basket by sophomore
Sophie Russell (Olympia/River Ridge HS) and a three-pointer by Duerr, and shot 53.6 percent from the floor prior to halftime -- marking the third consecutive half in which Central made more than half of its field-goal tries.
