LACEY (Mar. 2) -- Five Central Washington University men's basketball players scored in double figures, but the Wildcats' 2011-12 season came to a close with a 93-81 loss to 15th-ranked Alaska Anchorage in the 2012 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship semifinals at Marcus Pavilion on Friday afternoon.

ROBY CLYDE (Connell/Pasco HS) at the 7:29 mark. Central Washington built a five-point first-half lead, but the Seawolves ended the half on a 17-2 run to take a 41-31 lead heading into halftime.
The Wildcats turned the ball over nine times in the opening period, of which four were offensive fouls.

JORDAN COBY (Tacoma/Wilson HS), but the Wildcats were unable keep pace with the Seawolves who led by double figures for the majority of the second half. An 8-0 run brought the Wildcats to within six points (80-74) with 3:02 left in regulation. However, CWU was outscored 13-6 down the stretch, with the Seawolves scoring their final six points from the charity stripe.
Alaska Anchorage shot 53.8 percent from the field, was 8 of 16 from three-point territory and made 29 of 41 free throw attempts. Central Washington shot 42.2 percent from the field and was 6 of 16 from behind the arc.
Coby scored a team-high 15 points, making three of the Wildcats' six treys in the game. Sophomore
LACY HADDOCK (Las Vegas, Nev./Sierra Vista HS), Johnson, and Tyler each added 12 points, while Clyde added 11 in his final collegiate contest.
UAA had a slight 37-36 rebounding advantage, but CWU controlled the offensive glass by grabbing 16 offensive rebounds and scoring 18 second-chance points.
Alaska Anchorage got 24 points from Travis Thompson, an 11 points-per-game scorer on the season who finished 5 of 7 from behind the three-point arc. GNAC regular-season Most Valuable Player Taylor Rohde scored 19 points and had a game-high eight rebounds for the Seawolves.
UAA, which advances to the GNAC championship game on Saturday at 5:15 p.m., improved to 22-5 while the Wildcats finished the season with a 15-13 overall record.
