ELLENSBURG, Wash (Nov. 22) – The Central Washington University concluded its 15s season with a 69-12 win over the University of Oregon on a snow covered pitch.
"What snow?" Head Coach
Mel Denham joked. "We stuck to our game plan and continued to build on the foundation we have been working on all season, and we went out there and played our game, regardless of the field conditions."
The win the sixth consecutive victory for the Wildcats, as they finish the season a flawless 6-0.
Cassidy Meyers scored a highlight reel try in the middle of the first half. A scrum at midfield resulted in a Wildcat possession that sprung Meyers. She caught the third pass from her teammates as she scrambled from 40 meters out to score her first try of the day. Meyers would finish the day with two tries and a penalty kick.
Asinate Serevi,
Mele Halahuni and
Ashley Rolsma each found the try zone twice in the win.
The Ducks finally found some points late in the second half.
"Their forwards had some strong runners," Denham said. "They were able to put some phases together and take advantage of some gaps in our defense."

"Our whole team played well today," Denhan said. "It was a team oriented win and we continue to put phases together and it all came together well today. We will continue to do the basics, develop skills and putting phases together for our next challenge."
