CWU Women's Basketball Loses Low Scoring Affair at MSUB

Box Score BILLINGS, Mont. (Feb. 15) – Despite outshooting its opponent Saturday night, The Central Washington University women's basketball team lost 60-39 The University of Montana State Billings in Alterowetz Gymnasium.

With the loss, the teams ninth straight, the Wildcats fall to 6-17 on the season and 1-14 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference competition.

Neither team shot the ball well, as CWU held a small shooting advantage making 16 of its 50 attempts (32 percent) while the Yellowjackets were just 21 of 72 from the field (29.2 percent).

The Yellowjackets made up the difference my making nine three pointers and shooting 81.8 percent from the free throw line.  Central Washington was able to sink just four of its 24 shots from three-point territory and shot just 30 percent from the free throw line.

JASMINE PARKER (Mead HS) and AMBER MOSER were the bright spots offensively for the Wildcats.  Parker scored 11 points and brought down seven rebounds, and Moser scored 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting.

Montana State Billings guard Bobbi Knudsen led all scorers with 18 points to go along with her six assists.

The women's basketball team will get a week off before they next travel to Northwest Nazarene University next Saturday, Feb 22.
