ELLENSBURG, Wash. (May 20) – The Central Washington team has announced the signing of power forward Jerome Bryant to its 2014 recruiting class.
Bryant hails from Los Angeles, Calif. and was a high school teammate of current Wildcat
MARC RODGERS at Cathedral High School.
Bryant is a 6-foot-8 238 pound power forward what averaged 10.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game as a senior. In his junior season he averaged 8.9/8.2 per game and was voted second team all-league.
"Jerome is a versatile big that can play from the inside and out both offensively and defensively," Head Coach
Greg Sparling said. "He can bang down low with the post players but he has the athletic ability and footwork to guard players much smaller than him. He has a very developed and strong body for a high school player and we expect his physicality and athleticism to help us on both end of the courts."
After his senior campaign he was selected the MVP of his team that finished the season with a 24-6 record and a league mark of 10-0. He was also a McDonald All-American nominee and was selected to the 2014 All-Academic game, as he is an honor roll student at Cathedral High.
Bryant is the sixth player signed by the men's basketball this year, and the second high school senior.
