Seattle, Wash (March. 21) - The Central Washington University women's rugby teamed played the Seattle Saracens to a close match in Seattle, losing to the all-star team 29-14.
The match comes a week before the team departs for Standford University to compete in Pacific Mountain Conference Playoffs where they will face their first round test, California State University Chico.
The Wildcats managed to score twice during the contest as Camron Devereux and Samanatha Pinson both found the try zone and
Katerina Long converted both two-point conversions.
"The game was exactly what we wanted going into next weekend," Head coach
Mel Denham said. "We needed to be challenged so that we could learn to operate under pressure.
The Wildcats roll into playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the North Division.
"Given our performance I feel confident that we are ready for next weekend and the weeks to follow." Denham said.
