PALO ALTO, Cali. (March. 27) – The Central Washington University women's rugby team will compete in the Pacific Mountain Conference Playoffs beginning Saturday, March., 28 with a match versus California State University Chico.
The first-round contest begins at 10:30 a.m. on the campus of Stanford University.
"We are happy to see some new competition," Head coach
Mel Denham said. "California has a great rugby reputation, so it will be a good gauge for us as we move forward."
The Wildcats earned a No. 1 seed for the PMC playoffs by going undefeated in league play.
"We anticipate Chico State will be physical," Denham said. "We do not know much about them or any other teams we are set up to play, but we will play our game and are always prepared to whatever is thrown at us."
The Wildcats will play a Sunday match up that is
to be decided depending on different outcomes and results after the first day of play.
